Eight games would have been more appropriate than two. I could live with six. That was the original ruling on Ben Roethlisberger, who was never even charged with a crime. Where it really gets embarrassing for the Roger Goodell and the NFL is that they must believe that smoking marijuana is a worse crime than hitting a woman. It is an automatic 4 game suspension for consuming cannabis and two for knocking out your fiancé.
Maybe Mr. Goodell bought John Harbaugh’s defense of Rice. Harbaugh basically said Ray is a good guy who just made a mistake. It is true that good people do make mistakes. Inhaling some illegal smoke at a party is a mistake, even getting in a car after a few drinks is a mistake. A professional football player punching a woman is not a “mistake”. It is a definition of your character.
As always, at sportsrevelation.com, we do not simply view this situation from a passive, arm-chair quarterback position. What as fans can we do to cast our vote for fair judgment? If you recall from the post: http://sportsrevelation.com/cast-your-vote-peyton-manning-cabernet/ “Every time you spend money, you’re casting a vote for the kind of world you want”
So hopefully, there will be a lot less Ray Rice Jerseys on the back’s of Ravens fans. In fact, feel free to post ideas of what you will do with your Ray Rice Jersey. Also, will you “feed the monster” and buy another jersey or find other ways to spend your money? Share your thoughts, pictures, and revelations.

It’s John Harbaugh head coach for the Ravens
NOT Jim Harbaugh. He coaches the 49niners
That’s the only mistake you made

Thanks for the correction. My wife is the proof-reader but she is not up on her NFL coaching staffs.

A Ray Rice jersey? The perfect rag for cleaning up after the dog.

Seems the NFL is pretty obvious with the behaviors they condone, and those they do not. 2 game ban is less then a 4 game ban. Way to go Goodell. Nice piece calling them out.

Another missed opportunity for professional sports to make a positive statement concerning a serious issue. Anyone who owns a Rice jersey should send it to Roger Goodall, COD.

Seems like there are others out there starting to think, yes boycott time! The NFL is way too lax with their punishments, and should be ashamed, or at least concerned, with the amount of their players in trouble with the law.I’m glad your guys, and this website, are helping shed some light.
